Welcome to Civic Class— an evolving space for arts education excellence and community development. Students of all ages and skill levels explore the fundamentals and magic of theater while developing communication skills, confidence, imagination, problem-solving techniques, self-discipline, and team spirit.

Experience an exciting fast track from page to stage with Summer @ Civic! Discover confidence in the techniques of storytelling, create complex and authentic characters, and explore theater fundamentals while having fun in a safe, creative environment. Celebrate development with an end-of-week performance, open to a limited number of family and friends.

Directors and Teaching Artists include Jessii Arp, Joshua Baig, Tonya Ballman, Delaney Kahler, Karlin Kahler, Preston Loomer, Mathias Oliver, Dana Sammond, and Rachae Thomas.

Primary: Ages 5 – 8
Beginner: Ages 7 – 10
Intermediate: Ages 10 – 14
Advanced: Ages 13 – 17

From early childhood through adolescence, arts education can support social and emotional development. This year’s focus is set on the intersection of training and the arts’ impact on mental health and well-being.
