Ethan Dennis was an active member in their school’s choir programs, where they earned honor cords in both theater and choir, and participated in the NAfME All Northwest Mixed Choir in 2023. Last at Civic, they were part of the Ensemble in The Wizard of Oz. Other favorite credits include Audrey Two in The Little Shop of Horrors, assistant director for Murder at Rutherford House and Jester in Once Upon a Mattress (all with Rogers High School). With singing being their greatest passion, they plan to create their own music one day.
Claire Herrmann is thrilled to be performing at Spokane Civic Theatre again and tackling this zany show. She has previously been seen in The Rocky Horror Show at Stage Left theatre, The Play That Goes Wrong, and It’s a Wonderful Life at Spokane Cuvic Theatre. She is supported by her wife Rushele, her dogs Benny and Maeve, and cat Guy.
Declan Sheehan is excited to return to Civic after his performance as Kurt Kelly in last summer’s Heathers The Musical! His other recent roles include Jack in Into The Woods (Aspire), Edward Bloom in Big Fish (LC High School) and William Barfée in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Civic). He’d like to thank his mom and dad, as well as his loving partner for all their support. Enjoy the show!
Bryan D. Durbin (Director, Lighting Programmer, Master Electrician) is excited to be back in the director’s chair, most recently directing Civic Education’s Treasure Island in 2023. He has a BA in theatre and is very excited to be back as Civic’s master electrician and lighting designer following the long hiatus. “I want to thank my family Heather, Evie, and Abby for all of their support.”
Lauretta Heaney (Stage Manager, Properties) is excited to be doing her favorite theatre job. She just finished stage managing Heathers The Musical and Amadeus for Spokane Civic Theatre and The Little Mermaid Jr for Mountain Harmony Show Choir. When she is not wrangling actors, she can be found painting faces at area events. She has been most impressed with the talent and dedication of the cast and their commitment to the challenging material. Lauretta would like to thank Troy and Heather for this opportunity and she hopes the audience enjoys the show.
Kimberly Roberts (Lighting Design) formerly served as resident lighting designer at Ignite! Community Theater. Her recent Civic credits include lighting designer for Amadeus, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Jersey Boys, and director for A View From The Bridge with 2024’s Readers’ Theater series.
Ryan Wasson (Projections Design) has made a home at Spokane Civic Theatre over the past 6 years. Some of his Civic credits include Heavenly Friend / Ensemble in Carousel, Waiter / Ensemble in She Loves Me, an Ancestor in The Addams Family, Vice Principal Douglas Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, James Watson in Photograph 51, and Crow / Ensemble in The Wizard of Oz. Ryan also works in the area as an actor, director, and photographer, in addition to working as the Communications Assistant at Civic. Jamie L. Suter (Costume Support) holds a BA in Theater Design and Technical Production with concentrations in Costume Design and Directing from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC, studying under Broadway professionals Gail Brassard, Liz Covey, and Bob Anton. Notable credits include Costume Design for The Wonder!: A Woman Keeps a Secret (T. Schreiber Studio), Assistant to the Costume Designer for Sweeney Todd (Avery Fisher Hall), Assistant Costume Designer for The Lucky Chance (Theresa Lang Theater), Director/Costume Designer for Seven Femmes (Rathskeller Studios), and Costume Designer for The Lost Cabaret (NYC Fringe Festival). Jamie joined the Civic staff in 2018, her first design on stage being Present Laughter in the Studio Theatre. She loves being part of the fun and frivolity of live theater and is incredibly happy to do that at her home away from home, Spokane Civic Theatre.
Mackenzie Willett (Properties) studied theatre and criminal justice at Eastern Washington University. Her favorite credits are assistant stage manager for Ordinary Days, wardrobe supervisor for Twelfth Night The Musical (both with EWU), and stage manager and Marcellus understudy in Music Man (Spokane Children’s Theatre). She is excited to work on this production after working on props for Heathers: The Musical at Civic after working as part of the Front of House Staff. Outside of theatre, Mackenzie enjoys watching and playing soccer, and reading.
