Susan Hardie (Director) has directed and appeared in scores of productions throughout Spokane and the region over the past forty five years.  Recent directing projects include How I Learned to Drive, the world premiere of I Thought I Knew You, and Pam Kingsley’s Boxes (all at Stage Left), and Photograph 51 and Sweat (Civic). Susan hails from New York, where she received her BA in Theatre and English at the State University of New York at Geneseo. She is thrilled to be working with this talented team, and is honored to help bring Bryan’s beautiful play to the stage.

Lynn Komarek (Stage Manager) is excited to be part of this regional premiere at Civic and work with resident playwright Bryan Harnetiaux! Most recently, she served as the Co-Stage Manager for Waitress last season at Civic. She has worked with Spokane Civic Theatre, Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, Spokane Theatrical Group, Interplayers, Lake City Playhouse, Ignite, Stage Left, and Valley Rep Theatre. A few of her favorite productions include Mary Poppins, The Secret Garden, Wait Until Dark, The Addams Family, Catch Me If You Can, The Full Monty, Inspecting Carol and the regional premiere of White Christmas. She thanks her family and co-workers for their support.

Janice Abramson (Producer) has been involved with the Spokane Civic Theatre family since the summer of 1975. Since then she has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at Civic and the Individual Arts Contribution Award from the Spokane Arts Commission. Janice also works full-time for Spokane Public Schools and part-time for Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club. She is very excited to be back at the theatre. “I want to thank my family and friends for being there for me.”

Peter Rossing (Scenic Design) has designed sets for theater, opera, and dance in Portland and Austin and staging for corporate events in Europe and Asia. Recent designs for Civic have included Cats, Carousel, A Christmas Carol, and The Beauty Queen of LeenaneFavorite past projects include A View from the Bridge for Portland Repertory Theatre, The Importance of Being Earnest for New Rose Theatre (Portland), On the Verge for Different Stages Co. in Austin, and A Comedy of Errors on Austin’s Zilker Park Stage.

*Alana Shepherd (Lighting Design) holds an MFA in Lighting Design from Carnegie Mellon University and is the founding principal of Intangible Light, an architectural and theatrical lighting design firm located here in Spokane. Recent lighting design credits include Hello, Dolly!, Anastasia, and She Loves Me (all with Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre), and Ride the Cyclone (Stage Left). Alana is also the recipient of the 2025 IES Illumination award for the Harriet Tubman Monument in Newark, NJ, an Outstanding Lighting Design Honorable Mention for Sweeney Todd at the 2023 AACTfest Nationals, the 2015 IES Illumination Award of Merit for the W Hotel Times Square in New York, NY, and the 2008 IESNY Lumen Citation for the 100th Anniversary Times Square Ball in New York, NY. She is the founder of the North American Coalition of Lighting Industry Queers. She also serves as the Jester of Administration for Splat CoOp.

Mackenzie Willett (Costume Design) loves working behind the scenes at Civic as well as working as part of the Front of House Staff. Outside of theatre, Mackenzie spends all her time watching and playing soccer, spending time at church, and reading.

Bryan D. Durbin (Master Electrician) has a BA in theatre and is very excited to be back as Civic’s master electrician and lighting designer following the long hiatus. “I want to thank my family Heather, Evie, and Abby for all of their support.”

Micah Sybouts (Properties / Stage Crew) Accounts Payable Specialist by day and a thespian by night, Micah has been involved with community theatre since 2022. Recent credits include Hanna Kennedy in Mary Stuart (Inland Northwest Classical Theatre), Calphurnia / Cinna the Poet in Julius Caesar (Stage Left), Mistress of Revels in Romeo & Juliet and Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol (both with Civic). She is thrilled to be a part of this production and wants to thank her husband and children for the love and support they give her through all her theatrical endeavors.

Adam Snow (Sound Board Operator) is a detail-driven person with experience in various aspects of theater design. Favorite and recent credits with Civic include stage manager for The Wolves, CATS, A Sherlock Carol and Alice by Heart, and backstage crew for Legally Blonde, A Christmas CarolThe Addams Family, and Light Board Operator for POTUS. When not working in design, Adam can be writing, creating art, petting their cats, and adventuring with their partner. “I’m excited and honored to collaborate at Civic once again!”

Alexei Snow (Light Board Operator)is excited to support Civic and local theatres. Recently he worked in backstage as the Lighting Designer and Light Board Operator for Emma, Fly Coordinator for The Addams Family, Light Board Operator for Legally Blonde, CATS, A Sherlock Carol and Alice by Heart, Deck Chief for Jersey Boys (all with Civic) and Crew for Red (Stage Left). “I would like to thank my life partner Adam Snow and dear friend Sarah Dahmen for showing me the delight of collaboration and teamwork that is theatre.”
