Good People

Good People

When Margie Walsh loses her job at the Dollar Store and faces eviction, she reaches out to old flame Mike, a Southie boy who left his blue-collar neighborhood behind and made it good by becoming a successful doctor. Out of desperation, when Margie hits Mike up for a job how far will she go to ensure the welfare of her disabled daughter? From Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire, Good People tackles class in America how it shapes and impacts the picture of our lives.

David Lindsay-Abaire grew up in South Boston and at the age of 11 received a scholarship to a school in the suburbs and, for this reason, was made acutely aware of the class divides. This is what inspired Lindsay-Abaire to write Good People. Lindsay-Abaire also wrote Fuddy Meers, Kimberly Akimbo, Rabbit Hole, Shrek the Musical, and more.

Rated R – this production contains strong language (including racial slurs). mature themes and reference/depiction of alcohol and drugs.
