A Place to Call Home
When May Hutton died in 1915, her husband of 28 years, Levi W. Hutton, overcame his great sadness and then set out on a journey to fulfill a lifetime dream. Levi, recalling the unhappiness of his childhood without his parents, chose to spend the rest of his days (and his considerable fortune) improving the lives of other unfortunate children. A Place to Call Home tells the story of Levi Hutton’s struggles and joys as he built and endowed the 100 year old Hutton Settlement – beautifully situated in the Spokane Valley.
