
Abbey Crawford (Director) was a local award-winning actress, and vocal performer through the Pacific Northwest for 30+ years. Although she doesn’t perform anymore, she still has a big love for the theater community of Spokane. She’s very happy to be coming back to direct such a beautiful show. Abbey’s interests these days include her day job as a hairstylist, karaoke, gnomes & other cute whimsical friends & hiking in PNW rainforests as much as possible.
*Jesse Hampsch (Music Director) holds a MFA Musical Theatre Collaboration degree from Temple University and a M.Mus Choral Conducting degree from University of Idaho. His recent credits include Georg in She Loves Me (Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre), Composer/Lyricist of Goblin Market (Temple University), and Music Director of The Secret Garden (Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre). He loves spending time with my two golden retrievers, Dennis and Rowan.
Faith Mitchell (Stage Manager / Light and Sound Boards Operator) is excited to be back at Civic after stage managing for The Memory of Water in 2019. She holds a Bachelors of Arts (Theatre) from Eastern Washington University and has been a member of the Spokane Symphony Chorale since 2017. Other recent stage managing credits include Hamlet and Macbeth (both with Shakespeare CDA), and School of Rock and Oliver! (both with Lake City Playhouse).
Jeremy Whittington (Scenic Design) is an accomplished artist, notably working as the Artistic Director at Stage Left Spokane (2020-2024) and as a Professor of Drama and Theater Design at Spokane Falls Community College. Jeremy received a BFA in Design (Summa Cum Laude, 2014) from Sanford Brown and an AFA in Theatre Productions (1992) from Ohio University). Recent achievements include Top 20 Emerging Leaders in the Inland Northwest, Trending Northwest (2023), Washington State Kaleidoscope Competition: Best Scenic Design, Best Sound Design, Best Production for Pass Over (2023), and the Governor’s Arts & Heritage Luminary Award (2022). Recent scenic design credits include Macbeth, Sweeney Todd (both with Stage Left), Sweat, Dracula, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (all with Civic). He lives with his amazing husband, Alex, and their not-so-amazing cat, Mildred.
Jamie L. Suter (Costume Design) holds a BA in Theater Design and Technical Production with concentrations in Costume Design and Directing from Marymount Manhattan College in NYC, studying under Broadway professionals Gail Brassard, Liz Covey, and Bob Anton. Notable credits include Costume Design for The Wonder!: A Woman Keeps a Secret (T. Schreiber Studio), Assistant to the Costume Designer for Sweeney Todd (Avery Fisher Hall), Assistant Costume Designer for The Lucky Chance (Theresa Lang Theater), Director/Costume Designer for Seven Femmes (Rathskeller Studios), and Costume Designer for The Lost Cabaret (NYC Fringe Festival). Jamie joined the Civic staff in 2018, her first design on stage being Present Laughter in the Studio Theatre. She loves being part of the fun and frivolity of live theater and is incredibly happy to do that at her home away from home, Spokane Civic Theatre.
Kimberly Roberts (Lighting Design) has been active at both Spokane Civic Theatre and Ignite! Community Theatre for decades as a director, designer and actress. She has served on the boards of both organizations and was thrilled to be able to direct the first collaboration between them this past February, The Great Gatsby. Pre-Covid, she served as Ignite!’s resident lighting designer. Her recent lighting design credits at Civic include Sweat, An Enemy of the People, and Amadeus.
Mackenzie Willett (Assistant Costume Design) loves working behind the scenes at Civic as well as working as part of the Front of House Staff. Outside of theatre, Mackenzie spends all her time watching and playing soccer, spending time at church, and reading.
