Madaline Arnold (Moth) has participated in a six-week scene study and character development class with Civic Education. And character building workshop and introductory stage combat class at the Spokane Children’s Theater. Favorite credits include Susan Pevensie in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Jr. (Civic Education) and Raven in Teen Titans Go! Live (Spokane Children’s Theater).

Virginia Carr (Egeus) is a current English student and competitive speech and debater at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and alumni of North Central High School here in Spokane. Her favorite role is Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors, also produced by Civic Education.
*Credence Danielson (Oberon Attendant)‘s recent credits are working tech for The One-Act Play That Goes Wrong and Ensemble (dancer, clerk, and plant arm) for Little Shop of Horrors (both with Roger’s Encore Drama). He also won “Best Ensemble Member” during Little Shop of Horrors. Besides theater, some of his other personal hobbies are art, piano, and gymnastics.
Reuben Erlinso (Tom Snout) recently performed as Audrey 2 in Little Shop of Horrors (Rogers High School), Ensemble in Jagged Little Pill, Coach Comet in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Ensemble in Legally Blonde, and as the Magistrate in The Wind in the Willows (all with Civic). He wants to be in a tv, movie or any production! Please!
*Alexandra Haas (Cobweb) is currently attending EWU studying English Ed with a minor in Theatre. Favorite credits include Ensemble in Reefer Madness Lulu in Barbecue Apocalypse, Janice in Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake) (all with SFCC Spartan Theater), and working as Assistant Stage Manager for the New Works Festival (EWU Theatre). She’s also been nominated for an Irene Ryan award.
TaeZhanae Hays-Cormier (Hermia) is excited to be back at Civic! Recently seen in the Ensemble of Jagged Little Pill, she was also an Ancestor in The Addams Family. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Lily Johnson (Philostrate) recently had their debut play WIP (Woman In Progress) selected as the Youth Division winner for the Bryan Harnetiaux Playwrights’ Forum Festival this past June. Recent credits include Princess Ninetta in The Love for Three Oranges (SFCC Spartan Theatre), the Businessman in The Little Prince, Captain Smollett in Treasure Island, and Lendall/Marci in Almost, Maine (all with Civic Education).

*Toby King (Lysander) will be going to the University of Washington this autumn and is planning to double major in environmental science and Spanish. He did 3 years of advanced high school theatre and was a State Thespian qualifier in three categories, National Thespian qualifier in two categories, and has won four excellence awards and two superior awards from the International Thespian Society. Recent credits include Judge Omar Gaffney in Harvey, Crutch Collins in Anatomy of Gray, Albus Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and worked as backstage crew for Urinetown (all with North Central High School). He loves sports, music, theatre, learning new things, and being outside.
Myranda Lloyd (Helena) is currently working towards her BFA in Acting and Dance at Westminster University. She also trained in dance for 14 years at Spokane Elite Dance Studio. Her recent roles include Horse/Weasel The Wind in the Willows (Civic Education), Voice in Hatmaker’s Wife, Montjoy/Williams in Henry V, and Huldey in The Moors (all with Westminster University). She is very excited to spend another summer with Civic’s Education program! Myranda is also the choreographer for Alice In Wonderland Jr. performing in the Studio Theatre this August.
*Monty McGrew (Snug, the Joiner)‘s love for theatre stems from their school’s program. They have learned so much through the talented members of the theatre community around them and plans to receive a performing arts degree in the near future to continue pursuing this career path! Recent credits include Tom / Charles Lee in Radium Girls, King Arthur in Spamalot, and Earthworm in James and the Giant Peach Jr. (all with The Community School). “Theatre is the gateway to comedy and tragedy, especially Shakespeare! When I’m not on stage, I’m usually prepping for my next audition or busy with school. here’s to the beginning of my theatre journey! I hope to laugh and cry with you all very soon, enjoy this production of Midsummer!”
*Jimmy Morin (Puck) has always been an actor, despite lacking the education from elementary to middle school. Despite this, he persevered his skills from home, as acting has always been of interest. Once starting high school, he applied this knowledge and is now beginning formal education towards acting. Jimmy is also an artist of other sorts! He loves drumming and visual arts (drawing, painting, etc.), both of which he has committed much of his early life to. He would like to thank his mom and his friends for continuing to support his journey, and especially for coming to see this show!
*Nakylah Pry (Francis Flute) is involved in Jazz choir and Concert choir along with NHS at their school. Recent credits include Garvin in Footloose, Kurt in The Problem Solver (a one-act), and Charlie in Sun Dried (a one-act) (all with Mead High School Theatre). “My favorite thing to do is act and sing.”
*Talene Rivera (Hippolyta) is a recent graduate from Ridgeline High School and will be attending Reed College this fall. Their hobbies include playing guitar and writing fiction. Recent credits include Mrs. Vickers in The Plot, Like Gravy, Thickens (Ridgeline High School), Runaway in One Stoplight Town and Mrs. Gloop in Willy Wonka (both with TAC At The Lake). Talene was also the Captain for Ridgeline’s Improv Club from 2024 – 2026.
Katelynn Roohr (Peter Quince) first stepped onto Civic’s stage as a Delta Nu during last season’s Legally Blonde. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Garrett Schibel (Nick Bottom) has received 4 superior awards and through those awards qualified for the International Thespian Festival for 3 years in a row. Favorite credits include Homer in Anatomy Of Grey and Harry The Horse in Guys And Dolls (both with North Central High School), and Long John Silver in Treasure Island (Civic Education). He absolutely loves music, whether it be listening to it or creating it. He plays the guitar, bass guitar, and is planning on learning piano and drums soon. Outside of that, he absolutely loves learning and is planning on becoming an English teacher in the future.
Darby Shuster (Peasleblossom) is delighted to be back on Civic’s stage. Favorite credits include Mary Poppins in Mary Poppins (Spokane Children’s Theater), Susie Bones/Harry in Puffs, Martha Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, and Ensemble in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Carousel (all with Civic). She has trained at Interlochen Arts Center in Musical Theatre Dance Technique and continues to study ballet, tap, and voice. Darby is grateful to the Spokane theatre community, her family and friends, and her voice teacher, Al Rannow, for their constant encouragement. She hopes you enjoy the show!
Elly Sims (Titania) is a rising junior studying acting at Wright State University. She’s excited to be home for the summer and get to perform in A Midsummer Night’s Dream! Past roles include Charles Thomson in 1776, Desiree Armfelt in A Little Night Music and Patty Simcox in Grease! She appears as a recurring guest star, in Sony’s Going Home on PureFlix. Thanks to her family, friends, and mentors!

*An Tran (Robin Starveling) is currently going into his junior year of high school! Recent credits include Ensemble in Little Shop of Horrors and Perkins (Dennis) in The Play That Goes Wrong (both with Roger’s Encore Drama). He was awarded the “Scene Stealer” award which is given to a performer whose energy, charisma, and presence make every appearance memorable. Whether they have one line or a hundred, they leave a lasting impact on the audience. Writing is his life and loves it so much. He always loves to make a variety of things using his creative brain and writing skills; He can make RPG game ideas, write horror, write thrillers, or write silly scenarios of his friends!
Jean Hardie (Director / Costumer) first encountered A Midsummer Night’s Dream as the light board operator in a Sacramento storefront theatre production in 1971. In 2002, she put together a jukebox musical version as a Civic Summer Camp spectacular. She went on to direct the show at least 17 times with the 8th grade classes at Saint George’s School. “This may be the last time I will direct this wonderful play, so it is such a gift to have this wonderful cast, great set, beautiful lights, fun music and sound effects and super production team. Special thanks to Jameson and Lily!”
Jameson Elton (Assistant Director / Costumer / Sound Design) is a three times Youngarts winner and is a Marietta Coyle award recipient for Classical Voice. His favorite credits are Mole in The Wind in the Willows (Civic Education), Mark Cohen in RENT (Lake City Playhouse), Jason ‘J.D.’ Dean in Heathers: the Musical and Tommy Devito in Jersey Boys (both with Civic). He’s also an aspiring musician, writer, and film photographer. “I want to dedicate this to all of my Grandparents, for they have always supported me in my artistic endeavors.”
Lily Savage (Stage Manager) is so excited to be part of this amazing production! She would like to thank her family, friends, and cast/crew mates for their continuous support and love through the process. Favorite credits include Darlene in A Tiny Musical (Stage Left), Stage Manager for A Christmas Carol (Civic), Adrianna in The Comedy of Errors (Civic Education), and Denise in Wild Dust (Upstart Players). Janice Abramson (Producer) has been involved with the Spokane Civic Theatre family since the summer of 1975. Since then she has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at Civic and the Individual Arts Contribution Award from the Spokane Arts Commission. Janice also works full-time for Spokane Public Schools and part-time for Spokane Chiefs Hockey Club. She is very excited to be back at the theatre. “I want to thank my family and friends for being there for me.”
Peter Rossing (Scenic Design) has designed sets for theater, opera, and dance in Portland and Austin and staging for corporate events in Europe and Asia. Recent designs for Civic have included Cats, Carousel, A Christmas Carol, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Favorite past projects include A View from the Bridge for Portland Repertory Theatre, The Importance of Being Earnest for New Rose Theatre (Portland), On the Verge for Different Stages Co. in Austin, and A Comedy of Errors on Austin’s Zilker Park Stage.
Kimberly Roberts (Lighting Design) has been active at both Spokane Civic Theatre and Ignite! Community Theatre for decades as a director, designer and actress. She has served on the boards of both organizations and was thrilled to be able to direct the first collaboration between them in February 2025, The Great Gatsby. Pre-Covid, she served as Ignite!’s resident lighting designer. Her recent lighting design credits at Civic include The Glass Menagerie, POTUS, All Is Calm, Sweat, Every Christmas Story Ever Told (And Then Some!), An Enemy of the People, and Amadeus.
Joseph Anderson (Sound Engineer / Sound Board Operator) is excited to be back working at Civic having worked on Jagged Little Pill, Voices, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and The Wind in the Willows.
MJ Kim (Light Board Operator) is back with Civic after worked backstage crew for The Wolves, CATS and light board operator for Xanadu Jr., A Christmas Carol and The Little Prince.
Mackenzie Willett (Costume Shop Support) loves working behind the scenes at Civic as well as working as part of the Front of House Staff. Outside of theatre, Mackenzie spends all her time watching and playing soccer, spending time at church, and reading.
Maren Forsnes (Makeup Support) is a student at EWU studying pre-physical therapy. Last season, she served as the Dance Captain for Legally Blonde. Her favorite roles include Uranis in Xanadu Jr., Mr. Mistoffelees in CATS, an Ancestor in The Addams Family, (all with Civic) and Tilly in She Kills Monsters (Hitchhiker’s Theatre).
A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of the few plays by William Shakespeare that was not adapted from an earlier work or based (loosely) on historical events. The plot came from the Bard himself – and it’s a doozy! Four sets of lovers in various states of relationship crisis, a wacky group of local “actors”, and an enchanted forest wherein powerful fairy folk playfully indulge in love potions, transfigurations, and general harassment of the foolish mortals. “The course of true love never did run smooth”, but in the end “Jack shall have Jill, Naught shall go ill.” It is easy to see why A Midsummer Night’s Dream is one of Shakespeare’s most often produced works.
This young cast has been a joy to work with, and I think you will be delighted by their talent, energy and discovery of the richness of Shakespeare’s characters and language. All thanks to this excellent cast and fabulous crew. And thanks to Civic for the opportunity to bring yet another A Midsummer Night’s Dream to the stage!
