Carrie Bostick (Elaine / Deirdre)‘s writing was featured this summer during the Bryan Harnetiaux Playwrights’ Forum Festival at Spokane Civic Theatre. She has appeared in Mary Stuart and The Taming of the Shrew / The Tamer Tamed with Inland Classical Theatre and in The Importance of Being Earnest with Hitchhiker’s Theatre. Previous credits include As You Like It, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Spokane Shakespeare Society. Love to her new husband, Greg, who always is there to lend a hand or make her cackle with glee.

Barry K. Brathvode (Greg Ingrasia) has been involved with the theatre in this area for over 40 years as an actor, director, stage manager, and producer. He has been a member of the Ignite! Board of Directors, and has been active since its early productions. Barry is retired military, and a former fire fighter with the Valley Fire Department.

Rebecca Bolster (Gina) I’m grateful to be part of this powerful show for a second time. Thank you to Scott and the team for their vision to present this to a new generation, helping share the life changing events that reshaped the world for so many. Thank you to my ever patient husband who makes home life work while I’m off at the theatre and thank you to all my kids who graciously tolerate me being absent from so many bedtimes! I love you!

Cameron Daae (Darrin) is 16 with 11 years of theater under his belt.  Most recently he played Raymond Berry and others in Innovation High School’s Radium Girls.  He’s currently going to school for fashion design and plans to take on costuming when he’s older. Thank you to the wonderful crew and cast for making this show awesome, to friends, teachers, and anyone in-between for showing up and supporting him, and finally his mom and brother for being there for him.

Nate Edmons (Yesh Kadda) has been involved with many productions in the Inland Northwest, mostly musical theatre.  He was recently seen as Grimsby in The Little Mermaid at the Kroc in Coeur d’Alene.  Favorite roles as an actor are Big Jule in Guys and Dolls (Civic Theatre) and the Constable in Fiddler on the Roof (Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre).  He is grateful to his very patient and understanding wife, and most of all to God for the opportunities he’s had to contribute to the performing arts scene.

Nancy Gasper (Annette Rosenbaum) is a highly accomplished and awarding-winning actor with a deep history playing across multiple stages in the area. Some favorite roles include Mary, The Memory of Water; Mercedes, The Count of Monte Cristo; and Artie, Ellemosynary. Nancy loves drama and comedy equally and for different reasons. She particularly enjoys the connection that performing can create with audience members. Laugh or cry, let’s do it together!

Jhon Goodwin (Skodra) is honored to return to Hole in the Sky, having first played Skodra on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.  Fifteen years later, revisiting this role carries a special meaning for him, especially after nearly ten years away from the stage.  A member of SAG-AFTRA, Jhon’s screen credits include Dreamin’ Wild, Dante’s Peak, Mozart and the Whale, and the TNT series Leverage.  Most recently, his inner 12-year-old was pretty thrilled to see his name under “Stunts” in the credits of the Academy Award-nominated Train Dreams.

Jhon’s first film was Dante’s Peak, where he had the good fortune to work alongside his friend Jeff Ward. Jeff went on to be in Manhattan on & after 9/11, making stretchers in Thomas Paine Park in preparation for victims who never came.  Jhon has never forgotten that story.  Being part of Hole in the Sky again gives him a chance to honor not only the story being told, but people like Jeff who quietly showed up when their fellow human beings needed them most.”

Mark Hartley (Professor, Milt Santos, Narration) entered theatre over 50 years ago at Spokane Falls Community College in Alice in Wonderland as Tweedledee. When Tweedledum went blank on stage he performed “The Walrus and the Carpenter” on his own. From there he has done shows at Spokane Civic, Lake City Playhouse, Matanuska Valley Players, and playhouses far and wide. Some of his favorite roles: Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Lazar Wolf in Fiddler on the Roof,  Edward in King Lear, and George Reed in 1776.  Mark is a current board member for Ignite Community Theatre.

Roberta Hartley (Amelia Santos, Narration) first tread the boards in 4th grade as part of the Treasures of Sight and Sound (TOSS) program in Anchorage, AK. An undergrad stint in Theatre Arts at Gonzaga University included roles such as Nurse Sandwich in The Elephant Man and the Maid in Two Fools Who Gained a Measure of Wisdom.  A move to Kodiak, AK resulted in the role of Gertrude in Cry of the Wild Ram on beautiful Monashka Bay. While work schedules kept her off the boards, she was building costumes for her husband and daughter. She participated in many Ignite Booklight productions: Susan in No Sex, Please, We’re British, various Shakespearian roles in Much Ado About Nothing and other offerings, A Christmas Pudding and is very pleased to be reprising the role of Amelia in Hole in the Sky.

Doug Jacobs (Jasper Noonan) has had the good fortune to appear on stage and direct in community theatre in Idaho, Oregon and Washington over the past 27 years and is excited to be joining Ignite again for this important work.  Doug’s favorite on stage roles have been Tino in Breaking Legs at Lake City Playhouse – Coeur d’Alene, the father in The Rainmaker at Linn-Benton Community College – Albany Oregon, Tito Mirelli in Lend Me a Tenor at New Century Players- Milwaukee Oregon and most recently as Monsieur Bouc in Civic Theater’s production of Murder on the Orient Express.  Doug and his wife Kari live near Liberty Lake and are enjoying retirement by traveling by camp trailer, plane and cruise ship as frequently as possible.  Thank you to Ignite for having me back with this amazing cast.

Darin Jones (Soli / Police Chief) is thrilled to be making this Civic/Ignite debut in this tremendous show.  Some favorite past roles include Jinks in Forever Plain, Danny in Baby, Georg in She Loves Me, and Belfiore in Mozart’s La Finta Giardinera.  Darin is a proud alumnus of Gonzaga University and University of Washington.  He lives in Veradale with is wife, Carla, their 3 daughters (ages 15, 11 and 8) and their dog.

Julie Knight (Aisha) is honored to be cast in Ignite Community Theater’s production of Hole In The Sky.  Ten years ago Julie was cast in this exact production at Ignite, so it’s a full circle moment to be in this play again on the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Julie was last seen on stage at Stage Left in Don’t Cry For Them as Leader P where she portrayed a leader in a new civilization hundreds of years in the future.  She was last seen on screen in the locally filmed, psychological thriller, Tell No One.  Other recent acting jobs include commercials, digital marketing, hosting, and working as a standardized patient for WSU’s School of Medicine.  When not acting, Julie owns and operates Cameo Hair and Beauty which has been in business over a decade.  Julie thanks her family for being flexible and giving mom the opportunity to play!

Charlie Ladd (Jokhart) is excited to be back on stage once again after performing in Geezers earlier this year! He recently graduated from EWU with a BA in theatre where he got experience in all aspects of the stage from acting and directing to stage management. He hopes you enjoy the show!

Simon Nelson-Smith (John Damota) was born and raised in Spokane. He grew up watching plays at Civic and participating in school theatre programs. This is his second show in Civic’s studio theatre after participating in their Playwrights’ Forum Festival last summer, and first show with Ignite!. He is excited to be playing the role of Damota in this production!

CJ Pieroni (Douglass Barbuto) is thrilled to return to the Reader’s Theatre stage with both Ignite! Community Theatre and Spokane Civic Theatre.  Reader’s Theatre credits with Ignite! include The Book Club Play (2022) and The Great Gatsby (2018).  With Civic, he appeared in the Reader’s Theatre version of Vesta, an original play by Civic’s Resident Playwright Bryan Harnetaeux (2024), and Goodbye, My Fancy (2002).  He’s been involved in Community Theatre as an Actor for the last 31 years. 

AJ Seidel (Eric Santos) is a second year at Whitworth University, studying Theatre and Secondary Education. They have been doing theatre for over eight years, both backstage and onstage, and are excited to participate in yet another production. When not doing theatre, AJ can be found reading, writing, and exploring the world.

Jennifer Simmons (Blake Eaton / 911 Operator) has performed on stage in Geezers, Puffs, Playwrights’ Forum Festival, The Great Gatsby, Lake Town, Minimum Wage, Hecuba, Masterpiece Monologues, A Place to Call Home, Burnt by the Sun, and more. She is an Actor on Film and TV, with additional credits as an Extras Casting Director and Production Assistant.

Grace Small (Cari) This is Grace’s first show in community theatre, and she’s been enjoying every minute of it. She is a senior at Central Valley High School where she participates in choir, theatre, thespian troupe, and National Honor Society. Grace has done many shows at CV, most recently playing Barbara Maitland in Beetlejuice Jr. and currently Elaine Harper in Arsenic and Old Lace! She would like to thank her amazing directors, cast, crew, friends, and family for always being so amazing and supportive. Grace hopes you enjoy the show!
