Call for One-Act Plays at Spokane Civic Theatre

Spokane Civic Theatre accepts submissions for 29th Playwrights' Forum Festival

Spokane Civic Theatre is pleased to announce a call for one-act scripts for its 29th Playwrights’ Forum Festival. Selected scripts will be fully produced at the festival to be held June 8 – 18, 2017. Submission procedure and forms can be found online at www.spokanecivictheatre.com/playwrightsforum/

Playwrights residing in the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, or in the provinces of Alberta or British Columbia, Canada are invited to submit plays that are unpublished, unproduced or produced but have not received a professional production.

Submissions should be one-act plays, in standard play format, that run 30 minutes or less (30 page maximum). Only one script per playwright will be accepted. Scripts should not have been submitted in previous years, and should not be musicals.

Deadline for submissions is Friday, February 24th, 2017 at 5:00pm Pacific Time, with notifications on accepted pieces in April 2016. Electronic submissions only, please.
