Kimberly Roberts (Director) has been involved with both Spokane Civic and Ignite! for decades, having first appeared onstage at Civic as a dancer in Hello, Dolly! in 1971 and as Abby Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, Ignite!’s first fully-staged production in 2004. Because she has not only acted, but directed, designed and served on the boards for both organizations, she is especially thrilled to be part of this collaboration. Pre-Covid, Kim served as Ignite!’s resident lighting designer. Her recent Civic lighting design credits include Sweat, An Enemy of the People, Amadeus and Jersey Boys. She is currently acting as lighting consultant for Every Brilliant Thing for the newly-formed Theater On The Verge.
Nan Zorn (Stage Manager) is very excited to be working on an Ignite! production at Civic. Prior to COVID, she worked on many productions including Harvey, Is He Dead, Life Support, See How They Run and A Shayna Maidel. She is currently a member of the Ignite! Board of Directors.
Marty Kittelson (Producer) has produced shows for Woodland Theatre in Kettle Falls and at Ignite! Community Theatre in Spokane Valley. This is her debut as a producer of a Civic/Ignite! show. Marty enjoys filling her retirement time with acting, backstage crew, creating props, and is an avid ukulele player. “P.S. It’s great to be working with Kim and Nan again!”
Cayden Angous (Light Board Operator) is a senior at Central Valley High School. At CV he has been involved in 10 shows, working mostly as a tech, stage manager, assistant stage manager, mics and light operation. He appeared on stage in Anything Goes and in The Ghost Train (in which he ran the light board for one half of the show and was on stage in the other half). In 2024 he stepped in to help with the backstage crew of Carousel for the final 2 performances at Civic.
Rick Taylor (Sound Engineer and Board Operator) is excited to be back in the sound booth for The Great Gatsby after working sound for Carousel earlier this season, last year’s musical revue Beat by Beat, and Alice by Heart in summer 2023.
Since 2004, Ignite! Community Theatre has produced 62 Footlight fully-staged productions and 40 Booklight readers theatre productions. In multiple venues, over 16 theatrical seasons, Ignite! has touched the lives of over 500 volunteers working as directors, cast and crew, while kindling a love for theatre back stage, on stage and among Ignite!’s loyal audience.
