Readers Theater: The Great Gatsby

F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby

Produced in partnership with Ignite! Community Theatre

Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and betrayal. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age milieu of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel is brought to the stage in Simon Levy’s adaptation, approved by the Fitzgerald estate. “A brilliant distillation of Fitzgerald’s beautifully crafted prose.”

This production will be a in-concert style dramatic reading; no costumes, props or scenery.
