Thank you to all who attended yesterday’s Forum. To those of you who shared your voice and experience, your words matter.

We acknowledge and apologize to those who have felt unwelcome or hurt within our space, both now and in the past.

Civic understands this moment as an opportunity to be acted upon and build towards learning and expansion. Our leadership is moving as quickly as possible to strengthen transparent accountability measures to ensure a more welcoming and inclusive space for all.

Many of the questions and statements shared at the Forum require ongoing dialogue, planning and strategy. We ask for patience as we continue these conversations and pursue meaningful long-term actions, to which we remain committed.

In an effort to avoid further fracture within the community, we have decided to disable comments. We have created the following email account where Civic’s Board of Directors can be reached directly with feedback, ideas or other communication: CommunityVoices@SpokaneCivicTheatre.com.

Spokane Civic Theatre’s mission is to foster an enduring love for live theatre in every community member. We are dedicated to better embodiment of that mission.
