We are boldly jumping into 2024 with a roster of brand new classes and a fresh four-week structure to better accommodate those busy family schedules!

With class performances landing just in time for Valentine’s Day, what better opportunity to explore the diversity of relationships and how they serve as the backbone of character -driven performances.  Relationships inform our choices as performers, and keep the audience captivated.  We are excited to explore this topic through these fun and fresh titles.

Primary: Ages 5 – 8
Beginner: Ages 8 and up
Intermediate: Ages 10 and up
Advanced: Ages 14 and up

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Thursdays 4:00 - 5:00 PM $125 Register

A told B, and B told C… I’ll meet you at the top of the Coconut Tree! The beloved board book brought to life through song, creative movement and a whole lot of energy! Designed for our youngest stage novices, primary curriculum focuses on pattern recognition, taking turns, body awareness, imaginative play, and stage presence.

Winnie the Pooh: Tea for Two Mondays 3:45 - 5:10 PM $150 Register

Winnie the Pooh has an extra special tea time planned for him and Christopher Robin…. except Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet and Eeyore all have their own ideas on what makes the perfect tea time for friends. Curriculum focuses on team building and collaboration and character development and physicality.

Mixed level class: Ages 8 – 12, Beginner/Intermediate

Bluey: Roses are Red, Violets are Bluey Tuesdays 3:45 - 5:10 PM $150 Register

Bluey and her puppy pals gather to celebrate ” Man’s Best Friend Day” – a celebration of what makes dogs such an oh- so -special companion to all. Curriculum focuses on team-building, collaboration, creative movement and basic stage skills.

Shrek: A Valentine's Shrektacular Mondays 5:15 - 7:00 PM $175 Register

Valentines Day has arrived at the Swamp, and Shrek is worried about meeting Fiona’s expectations, while Donkey has most definitely gone overboard in declaring his love for one and all. A fun and comical look at friendship and expressing ourselves. Curriculum highlights character development and physicality, comedic timing an delivery, and character relationships.

Trolls: Band Together Tuesdays 5:15 - 7:00 PM $175 Register

Poppy, Branch and the gang must band together in an epic quest to reunite BroZone! Together will they be successful in creating harmony, or is this reunion land on a sour note? Curriculum focus on character arcs and relationships, dramatic conflict and resolution, rhythm and pacing, and complex blocking & choreography.

Barbie: Friendship Follies Wednesdays 4:00 - 6:00 PM $195 Register

All of the Barbies in Barbieland- and the Ken’s too! have prepared a Friendship Follies to showcase what makes them unique….and certainly Kenough!

This class will incorporate and utilize students special skills and highlight their versatile talents.  Class focus will also include making strong consistent character choices and establishing a setting.

Mixed level class: Ages 10 – 17, Intermediate/Advanced

Civic Academy Cancellation Policy:

  • Two weeks or more before the first day of class: fully refundable
  • Less than two weeks before the first day of class: credit on account for future class
  • Week of the first day of class: no credits or refunds available
