Playwrights Forum Festival

Playwrights’ Forum Festival Update

Being that Spokane Civic Theatre is an entertainment venue, per state mandate, our operations and productions have been paused since mid-March, 2020. The 32nd Playwrights’ Forum Festival, slated for June, 2020, is included in that pause.

After careful consideration, the Playwrights’ Forum Festival Committee determined not to present the Festival in virtual form, but rather await a time when we can return to live theatre and mount the kind of interactive event that our theatre community and Spokane audiences have come to expect.

Via a blind submission process, the winning plays selected for inclusion in the 32nd Playwrights’ Forum Festival are:

Pamela Kingsley
Spokane, WA

Natalie Schmidt
Spokane, WA
*Youth Division Winner

Ethan and Emma
Jean Hardie
Spokane, WA

Finding Mother Courage

Rachael Carnes

Tristen Canfield

Congratulations, Playwrights. We cannot wait for the opportunity to showcase your work.

Please note that 33rd Playwrights’ Forum Festival details have yet to be determined and dependent on state mandates.
