Courses begin on September 18th and end on November 11th

At the Academy we strive to offer classes for as many people as we can! This quarter our offerings are Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, Grades 4-6, and Teen & Adult

Imagination Station:

Sorcerer’s Apprentice*

A magically fresh introductory course to acquaint young artists with basic coordination, body awareness and presentation.  Promotes literacy skills, creative thinking, and teamwork, culminating in a fun final performance!

A Tangled Tale*

There are no small parts, only small actors….and puppets! Students will recreate Whoville and the Jungle of Nool residents to share the Seussiest lesson of all- a person’s a person, no matter how small”.

Your Dragon*

Dragons are hot these days! Join Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, and more on the Viking island of Berk as they discover that it takes courage, trust, and friendship to train for a daunting upcoming race.

Museum*

Teen Acting

for the Camera (12-18)

Calling all teens and young adults! Long to be in front of the camera?  Ready to challenge yourself and channel your creativity to the screen?  Whether you want to be a You-Tube star or a Hard-Hitting journalist, on-screen camera skills are essential, and our team can help you craft your presence and persona.

Video Production

Class (12+)

A fun and fundamental class for anyone interested in making their own movie, show, or documentary. Learn from area experts and gain hands-on experience with industry-standard camera and editing equipment  and be well on your way to making your own cinematic masterpiece!

Vocal Training and

Musical Movement (12-18)

Proper vocal training is crucial in developing strong singers!  Your voice is an instrument that must be used correctly for optimal performance and to prevent damage and strain.  Learn how proper breath, placement, stance, and more can improve your singing ability and confidence!

Adult Acting*

(18+)

Acting is a continuous learning process at any age!  Appropriate for all skill levels, this course will bring you out of your shell and help you shine on stage.  Learn useful techniques to enhance public speaking and presentation skills in a fun, creative environment!

Stage Combat:

Swashbuckling Swords* (12+)

En guard! Learn basic hand-to-hand combat skills, swordfight combinations, and how to safely handle stage weapons. Learn how to fall down on stage and smack your fellow actors …without hurting them or yourself!

Teen Feature One Acts:

Science Fiction* (12-17)

Create your own show! Teen students will work together to produce an out of this world showcase of one-acts based on a variety of Science Fiction sagas.   Set phasers to fun, and assemble- things are going to get wibbly-wobbly as we create, collaborate, and culminate in a memorable, one of a kind performance!
