Why choose Spokane Civic Theatre's Academy?
What sets us apart from other theatres in the community is the overall quality of the classes and productions we offer, along with the credentials of our amazing faculty .
Top Notch Learning
Our sessions focus on theatre skills, knowledge, theory, and practice, and typically culminate in a live performance for friends and family.
We take students through all phases of the production process: from auditions to rehearsals to performance.
Students walk away from our camps feeling great about not only the final production, but their own inner growth and new skills they learned along the way.
We believe that certified, qualified, and educated instructors make all the difference in the world. Our instructors
are organized, prepared, and have enthusiasm that is bound to rub off on students as we teach them not only theatrical lessons, but life lessons as well.
Our Director of Education, Chris Taylor, holds both BFA and MFA degrees in theatre, and every member of our educational support staff holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
While certification and accreditation are very important, they only serve as a subset to our ultimate goal: to provide an educational environment of the highest quality.
